The problem
A neighbourhood fast-food restaurant takes orders by phone and by message. Customers often order standing up, in the evening, sometimes after midnight, with one hand; in the kitchen nobody has time to re-key an order in the middle of a rush.
The approach
One rule: less friction is the product. On the customer side, a readable menu and an order in a few gestures. On the team side, two service screens: a back office for the manager and a screen for the kitchen, designed for a small terminal looked at from afar and at an angle. The identity comes from print and signage: flat ink, rules, plate numbers.
The solution
- Installable app: home, a menu of 105 products in 12 families, a product configurator (sizes, meats, sauces, extras, note for the kitchen) with the price recomputed live.
- Search by ingredient, tolerant of accents.
- Basket kept on the device, takeaway or delivery orders, time slot, profile and tiered loyalty, the reward being chosen by the customer.
- Three languages: French, English and Arabic, the latter right to left.
- Back office: today’s figures, search, sorting by urgency, orders flagged as late after twenty minutes.
- Kitchen screen: a queue, automatic ticket printing, and monitoring — the back office says so if tickets stop coming out.
- Printed material with a QR code to the menu.
